Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Training Hub (STWTH) provide support to STW Primary Care workforce, enabling access to education, development and up-skilling. We want to ensure that STW general practice staff are equipped and supported, and have opportunities, to provide quality care for the people of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin as well as reach individual development goals for personal career aspirations.

We offer a rolling programme of training and education, including Protected Learning Time (PLT) opportunities throughout the year, for all general practice staff. We facilitate access to higher University modules and programmes, give guidance on routes to Apprenticeships and support the development of new supervisors, educators and learning environments to maximise retention and workforce supply.

STW Training Hub is composed of a small core team situated within NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin facilitating programmes, training, education, development and providing general support as needed.
