Emma Lyle

Emma registered as an adult general nurse at Staffordshire University in 2004. Initially Emma worked on a surgical ward and then became a community nurse in Telford which she did for ten years. Emma was keen to work in primary care, so moved on to become a general practice nurse in 2015. Being new to general practice, Emma completed the fundamentals of practice nursing course and later went on to do the Specialist Practice degree in practice nursing with the V100 community prescribing at Wolverhampton University.

Emma continues to work as a general practice nurse and has a strong interest in respiratory conditions, also being an ARTP registered spirometry performer.

Emma works with Jodie at the Training Hub as part of the student nurse facilitator team and they look after the student nurses who are on placement in general practice and offer a weekly student nurse support session. Part of this role also involves aiming to increase support nurse placement numbers across within the area.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys family time, holidays and likes getting outside and going for a run.
